The price rise this spring.
今春物価が上がると言う文です。
文形をとると
the price rise (this spring)
S. V. M
となってました。riseは、自動詞なのでSV文形をとるのはわかるんですが、This springは、副詞ではなく名詞に見えます。I like this cake. とかとの区別がわかりません。なぜ、in this springのように前置詞がつかないのですか？

時を表す語=副詞の働きをするからです。
例えばtomorrow/this morning/last week/thenなどはすべて副詞の働きをします。
this springもこれらと同じです。
